ABOUT Mo
Dancing since she was only 1 year old, Morgan Henderson is an award-winning dancer based in Detroit. Under the tutelage of Angela Blocker-Loyd, Morgan honed her passion for dance at Studio Detroit Dance Center. Her training includes Ballet, Tap, Jazz, African Dance, Musical Theater, Lyrical, Acro, Hip Hop, Horton Technique, Live Stage Performance, Modeling, Contemporary and more.
In addition to her training at SDDC, Morgan continues to expand her dance exposure through various renowned workshops and instructors including Lisa McCall, Move Performing Arts Studio in Windsor, Alvin Ailey Dance Workshop, the Debbie Allen Dance Academy Summer Intensive, the
Anthony Burrell Summer Intensive, and Dance the World Broadway to name a few.
From performing in local events to competing in international dance competitions, Morgan is blessed to have earned scholarships, award-recognition and opportunities to work with some of the best choreographers and dancers in the industry. Additionally, she gives back to her dance school and community by serving as a student Instructor at SDDC. She teaches Twinkle Tots and Twinkle Toes ballet, tap and tumbling classes, as well as primary jazz, ballet and hip hop.
Morgan constantly strives to improve her skills and bring her unique perspective to the stage. She dreams to one day work on Braodway and own her own dance studio to later be etched in the Mount Rushmore of dance alongside some of the incredible talent who has helped mold the performer she is today.
